Thank you so much for all of the donations of products to fill 1500 Xmas stockings. Starting on Monday we will be handing them out. For those who collected donations to fill the stockings but have not yet dropped them off, please hang onto them for our upcoming Valentine’s Day campaign. At this time we do not have storage space to keep them. As we count down the days until the end of the year, storage space is on our 2011 wish list.
Beauty Night’s Wish List:
1) Storage space in Vancouver for donations of product
2) $100 each week to pay for honorariums ($20 per shift) to pay our participants who are developing job ready skills as they train to become faciliators.
3) $1000 to cover cost of running one week of programming including supplies, staffing, insurance, honorariums, photocopying, etc
4) $$$ for us expand programming to other areas & train additional facilitators to coordinating volunteers & supplies to run programs.
5) Hairdresser volunteers who are able to volunteer on a weekly basis
6) Opportunities for our Beauty Night Ambassadors and ED to speak about Beauty Night and hold discussions about the cycle of poverty and violence against youth and women.
